Although I was tired from the long flight, I was able to cover a lot of ground on my first day in Seoul. I checked into the hotel, caught up my previous posts and headed out. I started by heading to the meeting place for a walking tour I had seen on the web. It started by Gyeongbokgung Palace, the main royal palace of Joseon. My timing was perfect and I arrived just in time for the changing of the guard, a very colorful ceremony that dates back to the 15th century.
